WCSC is in need of your help! We are always open to welcome volunteers to help us in Wood County, West Virginia! Share your time or a talent and help us with a wide range of every day needs and critical tasks. No special skills are required, so come individually, or as a group!
We are open to adding new classes in Wood County! If you have a specific talent, skill or knowledge, we would love to add your creative skills to our Senior Center in Parkersburg, West Virginia!
We are looking to attract 60 plus to enjoy their golden years with us! This is a great opportunity to make memories for all. It’s a great opportunity for college students who are studying and individuals of all ages and backgrounds to share their experience with older residents in the area. Whether you are able to teach a one-time class, or offer your talent on a regular basis, our local residents who are 60 or better would appreciate all the opportunities available. There is no teaching certifications, experience, or curriculum required. We only have a standard background check needed. We hope you can come and share what you know with us!

You can donate your time to help someone in your area who is 60 plus and might not have anyone else to take care of necessary tasks and daily chores. We encourage individuals and groups, and even businesses to connect and help some of the most vulnerable of our community. We have many different critical needs and special requests from our seniors. We hope you can help us help those in need!

If you or your group are able to make a half-day or full-day commitment to help a neighbor in need, please include a comment to let us know what type of project you would like to work on, your location, whether or not you will be donating the supplies/materials for the project, and the date(s) you are available. In most cases, volunteers are asked to bring their own personal tools and equipment. If you have a specific skill you would like to volunteer on a regular or as-needed basis, please let us know.
