Benefits of Good Nutrition in Residents 60 Plus

Aging Well in the Valley

Our nutritional needs change as we get older. Each year our body needs different nutrient levels to thrive. Some individuals as they reach the age of 60 also stop going out, stop caring, lose their appetite, lose the will to cook, and find themselves either skipping meals or grabbing easier, unhealthier options.

1 in 8 seniors experience hunger.

You are not alone. It’s time to look at all your options to ensure you are following a good nutrition plan once you reach your golden years. We have experts who plan each menu to ensure our older residents have access to a hot lunch each weekday along with our Home Delivered Meal program that provides nutritious meals targeted to those who are 60 and better.

Combat Disease and Illness Risks with Good Nutrition Options

10 Million Older Americans Struggle with Hunger Each Year

A full balanced meal provides you with the nutrients you need to boost your immune system properly. Following 60, your metabolism starts to slow, your appetite starts to decrease, and your risks of disease and illnesses rises. Risk of osteoporosis, heart disease, and diabetes increases when your diet is poor. Your system struggles and needs better nutrients and minerals to absorb properly to fight even the flu and cold year-round. It’s time to minimize your risk. Enjoy a happier, healthier, better quality of life with a good nutrition plan.
